Which suites at Hotel Sogno have a private sauna?

Hotel & Ristorante Sogno has four suites with a private sauna, named after the four elements: Terra, Aria, Fuoco and Acqua (Earth, Air, Fire and Water). Together with three double rooms they make up the hotel's seven room types. The hotel is at Via Porto San Felice 41, in San Felice del Benaco, between Salò and Desenzano.

Only the suites have a private sauna: the three double rooms, on the ground floor on the garden side or on the first floor with a balcony, do not.

What does each suite include?

The four suites have the same amenities, which the hotel describes in the same words for each one. According to the hotel's description, the sauna is in the suite's bathroom and is private.

How are Terra, Aria, Fuoco and Acqua different?

On paper they are not: the hotel publishes the same description and the same amenities for all four, and does not publish the size of each suite. The difference lies in the photos the hotel assigns to each one.

The photo of Suite Terra shows the wooden ceiling and the balcony over the lake; the photo of Suite Aria, the exposed white beams and the double bed; the photo of Suite Fuoco, the peacock wallpaper. There is no published photo of Suite Acqua yet: its page opens with the view from one of the hotel's balconies.

How much does a suite with a private sauna cost at Hotel Sogno?

The hotel does not publish a fixed rate per room type: the price depends on dates and availability, and you can see the current price in the booking system before you confirm. Bookings are made directly with the hotel.

The terms, on the other hand, are set out in writing. A deposit of 30% of the cost of the stay is required on confirmation; if you cancel up to 30 days before arrival, the deposit is refunded by bank transfer or voucher. If you cancel less than 30 days before arrival, 30% of the stay is retained; less than 7 days, 80%; less than 2 days, 100%. No-shows, shortened stays and early departures are charged the full cost of the stay; cancellations must be sent in writing.

The extras listed on the suite pages include room service (€15) and a mooring buoy for guests arriving by boat (€40).

What is there at the hotel beyond the suite?

The hotel has a garden overlooking the lake with a pool, sunbathing area and loungers, with a view of the Rocca di Manerba, and direct access to the lake and the beach, with sun lounger hire.

Breakfast is a buffet in the lemon gazebo, with organic, diet and gluten-free products. The hotel restaurant is on the terrace right at the water's edge, serving à la carte every day for lunch and dinner.

Is there anything to know before booking a suite?

Yes, two rules apply to all accommodation. Pets are not allowed. In high season the hotel welcomes a limited number of families with children, to ensure a peaceful stay for everyone: if you are travelling with children, availability must be confirmed by the hotel.
